PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The Emiliano Romagnolo Canal is one of the main projects built with the scope of irrigating the Emilia Romagna Region and to transport and distribute the water of the Po River nearby to the city of Rimini, crossing the Provinces of Ferrara, Bologna, Ravenna and Forlì-Cesena.
Since the 1980’s Cmc has contributed to the achievement of this important project by building various stretches, the most recent of which are those for Lot XVI 3rd Section – 2nd Stretch and Lot XVII 2nd Section.
The overall length of the two sections, located at the end of the canal, is over 10km.
The work is essentially carried out in reinforced concrete, with open canal sections measuring 6,20×2,70m, and closed box sections, completely buried and operating on free flow or under pressure.
